HELP!! TMI WARNING..39w pregnant. Blood?

Last night I was having majorly painful contractions and I went to the hospital. They said I was at 1cm and in false labor even though contractions were happening every 3-5 minutes. They sent me home and later that night, I went to pee (which it also hurts a lot to do) and when I wiped, there was a lot of blood on the toilet paper. It was slimy like mucus but it was dark/bright red. I wiped again and just had brown spotty stuff. I was getting the brown spots for a while and just about an hour ago (about 16 hours later), I went to the bathroom and wiped after peeing and there was a LOT of mucus coming out. It was solid dark red/brownish and it was so much that I had to keep wiping to pull it out. There were a few bright red streaks but it was mostly dark red/brown. I've been getting contractions all day today also but they are less painful than before and don't last as long as before. They still hurt though. Does that whole mucus thing sound like the mucus plug or should I bug my drs again? I called them once and they didn't call me back yet. I thought the mucus plug was supposed to be clear with brown or red streaks, not solid dark red/brown so I'm worried. Sry bout the tmi. Also, is it supposed to hurt everytime I try to go pee? When I'm done peeing, it feels like a bad gas pain or a back contraction.
