What are the symptoms when you stop smoking.?

I quit smoking over 2 yrs ago and I never heard of these things happening. My husband quit 25 yrs ago and he never had anything like this. These are not the effects of quitting. Rather, something else. Spots on your tongue, swollen gums, sounds like gingivitis and it's a coincidence that it started when you quit. Your tongue burns because it too is hurting. I've had this feeling with strep throat. My tongue would be beet red, and very sensitive to anything hot. I'd go see a doctor if I were you. Don't start smoking again. I give you a lot of credit, cold turkey is something I couldn't do. I used Chantix, Less withdrawal side effects. Good luck.
