Should i ask him if were officially together as bf/gf?

so ive been talking to this guy for a week & idk but we have so much chemistry and everytime we hang out we just stare at each other and smile.its cute. &he's been calling me babe all the time, we hold hands. we do everything a couples does but he never really asked me out. i want to ask him if were in a relationship or not,. should i ask him? or what should i do?
