Mucus plug or discharge?

I am 9 weeks pregnant and for about the past week I have had a slimy substance when I wipe. Only sometimes though. It looks like ovulation except it has brown in it. I'm worried bc I have had a miscarriage before and I'm not sure what can happen. I'm not sure if it's normal discharge or if it is something I need to be worried about.
