Am I being too cheap for prom?

My prom date is wearing a sky blue dress for prom so I figured to wear a white tuxedo with a black undershirt and light blue tie and pants. But thats not the problem. The problem is transportation to the event. Since we are wearing light color consisting mostly if light blue and white, I got us a white chrysler 300 stretch limousine not only to get us to and from prom, but to also to take us to a fancy restaurant downtown for dinner. When she saw the limo she was extremely excited, but when her friends saw it they said I was being cheap which by the way, they are being driven to prom by their dates who are driving their parents cars.
